Check Your Settings, Now!

Are you "no-reply" blogger/blog reader?

I know this post has been done over and over, but it is one that needs repeating every so often.

I didn't think I was a "no- reply" until someone pointed it out to me.  After all, I had entered my email address when I registered for my Blogger account.  Here is an example of a really sweet comment I received from a reader.  She made my day, I love getting a comment like this and would have loved to reply to her. (If this is your comment, I apologize for using you as the sacrificial lamb...)


Yes, Blogger has created threaded comments, but it still doesn't go back to the commenter...

Here is a quick way to find out if you are:

Log into your Blogger account and click view profile.  Then click edit profile.

This button has to be checked.  (The highlighted one.)  It does not show your email to the world.  It only appears in the return address field after your comment has been emailed to the blogger.

I agree I'm always getting an invite to a party via comment and then when I click on their profile their blog isn't even listed so I have to do a google search for them....I don't think they know this is happening.....I'd love for you to share this @CountryMommaCooks Link & Greet party going on now-Sunday midnight…

  7. I had been going back to the blogs to see if they replied. I thought they couldn't send a direct comment to the poster. LOL. I am obviously still really new to this stuff. I changed our blog setting.

  18. Thanks for this, but I have checked and rechecked, my show my email address as checked, yet I am still told my email comes back as no-reply. So don't know why, cause my settings are correct, maybe just another problem with blogger! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best Par.tay!

  27. I'm not sure if I did this right. The only edit profile I can find is on my google+ page and do not see the same options. Any ideas??
