As you can see, it's adorable. So ruffley and girly!
I'll admit, when I first reviewed the pattern I started to get a little worried... At first glance, It seemed like this would be a difficult project, but I had promised Amy I would deliver my review and photos by the end of the week, so I printed out the pattern and got started...
Well... all that worry, was for nothing. (I'm really good at worrying about nothing, ha ha!) Turns out, the jacket only has a few pattern pieces and it sews up very easily.
As you can see by the smile on her face, my little missy loves it too. She is thrilled that it has pockets!
(We were lucky to get a day of cool weather so we could go outside for these photos. The temperatures bounced back up into the 90's very quickly after this.)
I don't remember what the fabric is called, but it came from the "suitings" selection at Hancock Fabrics. It's soft like flannel, but more sturdy, kind of like a brushed twill. I lined the jacket with a pretty little ballerina flannel that coordinated perfectly.
Now, all we need is permanently cool weather. I don't want her wearing the jacket on days where it is 50 in the morning and 80 in the afternoon. We have lost so many jackets on days like that...
What winter items do you have on your sewing "to do" list?
