Crafting with Sharpie® Markers: Faux Chalkboard Labels and More

When I completed my laundry room redo last year, one of the last items on my to do list was to make some chalkboard labels for the baskets above my sink.  I had all the supplies to DIY myself some labels, but I just never quite got it done.  Until, I came up with the idea to make faux chalkboard labels with card stock and a sharpie marker!

Have you seen the new line of Metallic Sharpie® permanent markers?

The silver metallic marker was the one I used on my faux chalkboard label.  All I did was trace a stencil on some black cardstock with my Sharpie® marker, cut out the shape and wrote the basket contents on the label.  Simple!  (I adhered the label to the basket with foam glue dots.)

Who doesn't love Sharpie® markers?  I use mine all the time.  From labeling my kids clothes and supplies, writing notes, table place settings and all sorts of craft projects!  Sharpie® products are available in a convenient 12 count package (so you can get ALL your favorite colors at once!)

I spent some time browsing Pinterest looking at Sharpie® craft projects.  You can lose hours just checking out all of the creativity.  If you are looking for some holiday inspiration, be sure to check out the Sharpie® Holiday Happenings Pinterest board.

What I am most excited about is the new Sharpie® Stained Fabric Markers!  I am very intrigued with the possibilities of these permanent fabric markers!  They are available at Walmart, you can see them here.
