I figured I should have some sort of business card on hand, just in case, so I spent some time yesterday putting one together. The actual designing wasn't that hard, (I put it together in Photoshop Elements) but getting it to print centered on the card was ridiculous! I have a set of Clean Edge Business cards (Avery 8871) that I bought about 10 years ago and never used. No matter what I did, I could not get the image centered!!! And of course the first two sheets I printed had a miss-spelling, Photoshop really needs to add a spell check function!
I wanted to do a double sided card, but the design of these cards make it impossible, which I figured out after making both sides. (The cards peel off the sheet kind of like a sticker.)
What do you think?
You can scan the QR code and be taken directly to my website. I love it!
I found a tutorial for a cute little business card holder over at the Crafty Cupboard, and I hope to whip a couple of them out today.
I also added my social media links to the card, I am not sure how necessary that was, because you scan the qr code, and it will take you right to my page where I have all the links.
What do you think? Take them off or leave them on? (I can make the qr code slightly bigger to take their place.)
Speaking of social media, I recently joined Instagram.
My feed sometimes gets a little slow because I don't follow enough people Are you on Instagram too? You can follow me here: http://instagram.com/scatteredmom and I will follow back!
Have a great weekend!

You did a great job!!! I need cards too!!! However, I have no conferences on my calendar :( Boohoo..
ReplyDeleteHi. Great Job. I didnt realize you were in Austin. I've been following you for a while and had no clue. I'm in Austin as well. Small world!!!
ReplyDeleteI would take them off and make the QR bigger
ReplyDeleteIt depends on your target. There are still people that don't know what to do with a QR (me included) and so the social media links are nice. However, if you don't think those people are who you are targetting to, then take them off and leave just the QR. I guess it comes down to knowing your peeps.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'd go for less text as it looks a bit crowded. If your website has all that info, then I'd just have your email and a bigger code. But that's just me! Love the images for the back
