Salted Caramel Mocha Shake

My hubby recently spent the day working from home.  (Working very hard, I must add - I don't know how he stays so focused, but it always makes me feel a little guilty...)

I thought he would enjoy a mid-afternoon pick me up.  (He loves his coffee.)  I wanted to make him a Salted Caramel Mocha frappuccino style drink, but I worried about blending up the ice - it might water down/weaken the coffee flavor too much.

So, I opted to use the next best frozen alternative...  Ice cream!

Salted Caramel Mocha frappuccino recipe

The secret ingredient for this easy shake?  Salted Caramel Mocha creamer by International Delight.  Have you tried it yet?  It's really good!  (If you can't find this flavor, look for the Hershey's Chocolate Caramel from International Delight, it is just as good.)

This shake is so easy to make!

Salted Caramel Mocha Shake (serves 2):

Ingredients:
  • 3.5 oz cold coffee (I usually use coffee from the morning or brew and extra strong cup in my keurig mini and stick it in the freezer for a little while)
  • 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
  • 1.5 oz Salted Caramel Mocha creamer (If your coffee is extra strong, you could use a bit more- but be careful it is very sweet)
  • Chocolate or caramel syrup to garnish the shake (Optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and serve.

Enjoy!

The "coaster"?  My very first attempt at a pin wheel!

My ice cream was very soft to start, so your shake will be thicker.

( The damper in my fridge, (I think that is what it is called) that lets the cold air from the freezer into the fridge is broken, so the bottom 2/3 of the fridge freezes everything. In order to keep the top two shelves usable, it helps to set the freezer setting at 5 to 7 degrees. We have a 2nd fridge in the laundry room, so there hasn't been a big rush to fix it, plus I am still a little P O'd that my 48 inch built-in monogram fridge didn't last longer that 1.5 years. - It lasted just long enough for the warranty to expire. Forgive my rant and bear with the slew of sponsored posts that I have scheduled over the next month so I can fix my fridge - it's expensive! BTW, this post is not sponsored, we just really like this creamer.)
