Thank you to Lands End for partnering with me to share these Back to School Picture Ideas and First Day Outfits!
If there’s one thing parents and kids can agree on, is that we all want to look great on our first day back to school! What’s great about Lands’ End is that their back-to-school collection is built to last, with comfort, durability and style of course!
I put these first two back to school looks together based on what my little guys like to wear. My little missy loves wearing dresses and accessorizing her outfits with fun accents and pops of color. When I saw the blue leopard tights in the catalog, I knew we had to have them- and every outfit just looks better topped with a hot pink cardi. This one even has her name embroidered on it!
My son really goes for the preppy look. He tells me the girls really like it too… (I have to agree.) Button downs and polo style shirts with jeans are his go-to school “uniform”. (We attend public school, so no real uniforms required- but both her sweater and his down vest come from Lands’ End uniform shop.)
I have to give Lands’ End props on their Iron Knee® jeans. They are built sturdy, with reinforced knees and an adjustable waist. These jeans will definitely last the school year with no ripped knees. I also appreciate the little details, like the sewn in name tags on outerwear.
Don’t forget about Lands’ End monogramming and embroidery service. It costs $6 and takes about 3-5 days.
For my daughter’s 2nd outfit, we went with a casually cute look. Patterned jeans, glitter ballet flats, and probably one of my favorite pieces, the ruffled peter pan collared polo. Her outfit is topped off with a bright purple sweater for layering on cool fall mornings. (The polo and sweater are from the uniform shop.)
She requested a messenger bag instead of a backpack. If your little one wants a messenger bag, there are several styles to choose from!
Don’t forget lunch boxes too!
Let me know in the comments, which look is your favorite?
