10 Minute Mac and Cheese Pizza recipe – A super quick and easy dinner idea the kids will love!
When it comes to eating out, my kids favorite pizza is the Mac and Cheese pizza from Cici’s. I believe I’ve mentioned Hubby and I are working on improving our eating habits. We’ve been limiting our bread and sugar intake and adding more veggies to our diet. (We’ve been pretty strict, but I hope to loosen up a bit and incorporate all foods once again once we reach our goals.)
What this means for the kids is that they’ve not had a trip to their favorite Pizza place in about 6 months! (Poor little guys… Pizza is both of our downfalls, so no more buffets.) The only pizza we’ve been getting is the DIY kind.
Thank you to Horizon for partnering with me in bringing you this awesome Mac and Cheese Pizza recipe!
Most nights everyone eats the same things, but while the hubby and are are mostly just eating protein and a veggie or two, I still usually prepare a separate side dish for the kids. (Pasta, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, tortillas, fruit etc… you get the picture.) Some nights though, I do make them a separate special meal.
On a recent trip to the grocery store, I found these new microwavable Macaroni and Mild Cheddar Cheese cups from Horizon. They are exactly what I look for when shopping for quick and easy snacks or individual servings of my kids favorite foods. Plus it makes me happy that Horizon uses simple, recognizable ingredients, like real organic cheese and pasta in their macaroni and cheese. It’s a choice I can feel good about–and a whole lot of yummy goodness for the kids.
When I saw these Mac and Cheese cups, I was inspired to create my own version of Mac and Cheese pizza as a special treat for my guys.
So while it might not have been Cici’s, the kids absolutely gobbled the pizza up and begged for more! Plus, I know my version of Mac and Cheese Pizza is so much better for them. (and the smell of this pizza almost had me breaking my diet!)

- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to package directions.
- Spread mac and cheese over the crust.
- Top with extra cheese, parmesan, Italian Spice blend and optional bacon crumbles.
- Bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until everything is hot and bubbly.

If you are using leftover mac and cheese from the fridge, you’ll want to reheat the mac and cheese before adding it to the pizza crust.
- Serving Size: 1/2 pizza
