Guys, I have a confession…
My craft room is a disaster. It’s been this way for a while and has only been getting worse. A messy craft room makes it extremely difficult to get motivated to sew and be creative. (There’s no room to work and just looking at my space kind of makes me feel depressed and I want to leave the room!)
1. I just can’t seem to put anything away.
2. I have too much fabric and craft supplies. (There… I said it! The root of the problem.)
I’m definitely working on #1. Hubby even spent a few hours helping me clean and reorganize a lot of my stuff. And #2…. Oh, number 2! This I’m having a hard time with, I guess, I’m just a bit of a hoarder. I have so much fabric and supplies, yet I don’t want to get rid of anything. I just know as soon as I do, I will immediately need it back for some new project- then I won’t have it! (I also want to save things for my daughter to craft with.)
To make it easier to part with some of my favorites, I’m committing to a fabric giveaway each week in June. (Maybe longer, we’ll see how it goes…) Do you think this will help make dent?
1. An adorable fat quarter set I bought in duplicate (2 years ago) with the intention to sew a project with one set and give the other set away. (Is this cheating? Maybe, but I’m still cleaning out my stash by giving away this set.)
|This set would make a cute Fat Quarter Circle Skirt!|
2. A pre-printed fabric panel that includes instructions and all the fabric needed to sew a sunglass case, a large cosmetic pouch and a small cosmetic pouch.
