When I completed my laundry room redo last year, one of the last items on my to-do list was to make some chalkboard labels for the baskets above my sink. I had all the supplies to DIY myself some labels, but I just never quite got it done. Until I came up with the idea to make faux chalkboard labels with card stock and a sharpie marker!
To get the faux chalkboard look with plain black cardstock, all you need is a Metallic Sharpie® marker (and cardstock, of course)!
To make the label, all I did was trace a stencil on some black cardstock with my Sharpie marker, cut out the shape and wrote the basket contents on the label. Simple! (I adhered the label to the basket with foam glue dots.)
I’m also excited to try out the new Sharpie Stained Fabric Markers, I’m intrigued with the possibilities of these permanent fabric markers, especially on fabric. Have you tried them out yet?
