We just returned from a camping trip to Galveston for a long weekend. We had a great time, visiting with family, lots of bike riding, putt- putt, late nights and swimming in the pool. The night before we left, a very strong storm rolled through and raged the entire night, pounding us with several inches of rain and super strong winds. Our little trailer was rocking like we were in the middle of a hurricane. There was not a lot of sleeping going on that night, lol. So you can imagine how the 5-hour car ride home with a four crabby, over-tired passengers, went. (I should probably mention our departure <in the pouring rain> was also delayed a good hour and a half due to the misplacement of a certain set of car keys!) It was definitely a rough trip.
My little guys are close in age. Which means they can be the best of friends one minute and the worst, most irritating enemies the very next moment. A five-hour car ride or even just a trip to the grocery store with these two guys is definitely challenging.
It’s days like that, that make me grateful for a freezer stocked with the family’s favorite Red Baron Pizza!
Because of course, pizza makes everyone happy! (especially mom) I mean how yummy does that dinner look? Some nights we just need easy.
Motherhood is hard ya’ll, and we could all use a bit of easy and maybe even a Wing Mama every now and then!
Have you met the Wing Mama yet? The Baroness of Red Baron Pizza is helping moms find humor in the crazy hectic moments of motherhood by encouraging us to share our parenting “war stories” to earn wing mama patches.
And let me tell you – I have plenty of war stories to share. (Someday I’ll tell you guys about the time I took myself, a 3-month-old and a 22-month-old in for passport photos – the most frustrating hour of my life, so far lol).
As for today? I definitely earned my “Pizza for Peace” patch!
Do you have a Motherhood “war story” to share? Whether you feel like your life is filled with toddler tantrums, dinnertime standoffs with picky eaters or you feel like you’re running on fumes, the Baroness has a patch for you! (She understands parenting doesn’t mean perfection.)
