How to Make a Frozen Coke (DIY Coke Slushie):
I grew up in a very small town. And when I say small, I mean small! There were nineteen kids in my graduating class, no movie theaters or chain restaurants, and only a couple convenience stores. (7-Eleven and another local chain.)
The 7-Eleven had a Slurpee machine, so it was our main source of icy treats during the summer. I loved the cherry flavor, but my all time favorite was (and still is) the Coke Slurpee!
There’s just nothing better than an icy cold treat during the hot summer months.
This frozen coke slushie recipe is simple, delicious and certain to give your brain a freeze that you’ll come to love and enjoy.
What is a Frozen Coke?
A Frozen Coke is just like it sounds. Coke that’s been frozen into a slushie consistency.
It’s like the perfect combination of soda and ice that you don’t have to worry about being too chunky to enjoy. I thought about titling this post “Copycat Slurpee Recipe,” but I was afraid the slurpee trademark people might not like that idea, lol. So frozen Coke it is, lol.
This particular preparation method (using an ice cream maker) results in an almost perfect Coke Slurpee dupe. It is the same consistency and flavor of a Coke Slurpee.

How to Make a Frozen Coke (DIY Coke Slushie)

(I told you this was simple, right?!) You’ll love the ease and taste of this frozen coke recipe!
Can You Make a Frozen Coke Ahead of Time?
You could make it ahead of time, but I wouldn’t recommend as the slushie will freeze solid.
This Frozen Coke recipe is designed to be enjoyed right away.
If you have leftovers, this is what I recommend: Add the leftover Frozen Coke to a shallow dish and place in the freezer. When you are ready to finish it, you can break it up into small pieces and re-blend it in the blender. You might need to add a smidge more liquid Coke to get it back to the Coke slushy consistency.
Can You Add Alcohol to a Frozen Coke?
Of course you can!
There’s always room to make it more of an adult beverage if you want. Just make certain that you label them differently so the kids don’t accidentally take a drink of yours! I think this would taste amazing with some lime and coconut rum!
One thing to keep in mind is that the alcohol might increase the processing time.
Can I make a Diet Coke Slushie using Diet Coke?
That is a big NO!
Do not try to make Coke Slushie Recipe with diet Coke. It needs that sugar in the regular Coke to work.
(And yes, I tried it, lol.)
Look at that gorgeous slushie! Graba a spoon (or a plastic straw), because we all know those paper straws ate cute to look at, but are the worst to drink out of, lol.
