I managed to get a couple of semi-new items done for my daughter in the last couple of days. I say “semi-new” because the pink skirt was made from a man’s Polo shirt and the green tunic top was a big girl top I found at Wal-Mart for $3 and re-sized to fit her.
We have a PGA golfer in the family, so occasionally his Polo Shirt cast-offs trickle down to us. I have made a couple of really cute knit ruffle skirts from his unwanted shirts, though it is very rare to get one in pink. She really liked this one.
The green tunic halter is the big girl top I found at Wal-mart for $3. My mom spotted it and it was just too cute to pass up. I got it in a pink and purple print as well.
|She doesn’t look too happy in these shots… While I was brushing her hair, I accidentally laughed out loud when she was watching herself make sad faces in the mirror…|
To re-size these , all I did was open up the casing in the back and tighten up the elastic. I also took out about half an inch around the neck. Very easy!
I will be linking this post up to some of the Linky Parties listed here. Check ’em out if you have a chance!
