Instructions

Preheat oven to 350º
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl, and set aside
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
Beat in eggs, vanilla, and food coloring
Stir in dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
Scoop dough into tablespoon sized balls and roll in granulated sugar
Flatten each ball somewhat, and press a candy heart into each one
Bake for 10-12 minutes until set
