Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups sugar, divided
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 ¼ cup flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 36 Hersey’s Kisses
  • Premade vanilla icing
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Beat butter until creamy and add 1 cup white sugar and brown sugar. Beat until blended.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  5. Pour dry ingredients into butter mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Add peanut butter and mix until incorporated.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop out dough and roll into balls.
  8. Roll each ball in remaining ¼ cup sugar until completely coated.
  9. Place on lined cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
  10. After removing cookies from oven, let cookie cool and press a Hersey’s Kiss into each cookie.
  11. Combine orange food coloring and premade vanilla icing until the desired color is reached.
  12. Fill a piping bag or sandwich bag with icing and making sure cookies are completely cool, pipe a circle around each candy topping.
