Description

Cranberry Hand Pies are a deliciously easy way to use leftover Cranberry Sauce!

Ingredients

Scale
  • One sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • leftover cranberry sauce (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1 to 2 tbs sugar ( I used Turbinado sugar)
  • One egg, beaten

Instructions

1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2.  Cut pastry into four squares
3.  Place a spoonful or two of cranberry sauce in the middle of the pastry square.  Top with a bit of sugar is your cranberry sauce is not very sweet.
4.  Top cranberry sauce with a tablespoon of shredded cheese.
5.  Fold pastry over to form a triangle and seal edges with a fork.  (As shown below.)

6.  Brush pastry top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
7.  Bake until golden and cooked through.  (About 20 minutes.)

Enjoy!
