Description

Ingredients

  • 1 8 inch pie shell
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Place butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat 10-15 seconds at a time until chocolate is melted. OR heat gently in a saucepan over low heat
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, flour, and salt
  4. Add cocoa powder, and melted chocolate mixture, and mix until fully incorporated
  5. Pour into prepared pie shell and bake in center of oven for 35 minutes, or until no longer jiggly
  6. Remove from oven and let cool
  7. Cut and serve with whipped cream if desired
