- 1 8 inch pie shell
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º
- Place butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat 10-15 seconds at a time until chocolate is melted. OR heat gently in a saucepan over low heat
- In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, flour, and salt
- Add cocoa powder, and melted chocolate mixture, and mix until fully incorporated
- Pour into prepared pie shell and bake in center of oven for 35 minutes, or until no longer jiggly
- Remove from oven and let cool
- Cut and serve with whipped cream if desired
