I’ve been wanting to make a Lava Flow Cocktail since we got here, but I really wanted to wait until my hubby arrived so he could enjoy it too. I am so glad I did because it was so good!
(Be sure to check out my round up of all the Best Tropical Drinks we made while on vacation.)
Have you ever had a Lava Flow? It is almost like a Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri mixed together in the same glass… So yeah, it’s really good!
Lava Flow Cocktail
(makes 1 cocktail)
- 1 oz. light rum
- 1 oz. coconut rum
- 2 oz. fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 small banana
- 2 oz. pineapple juice
- 2 oz. coconut cream
- Blend the 2 rums and the strawberries in a blender. Put this mixture aside (in freezer).
- Clean the blender and blend banana, the coconut cream, and the pineapple juice in blender with crushed ice until smooth.
- Spoon strawberry mixture to serving glass and hold at angle. Gently spoon the mixture from the blender on top. (the strawberry mixture will slowly seep into the pineapple banana mixture or you can gently swirl for a pretty mix. I posted a swirled picture on Instagram here.)
Serve and enjoy!
