Don’t you just love a pretty little cupcake?

These Easy Easter Cupcakes taste so yummy and they’re the perfect size for dessert or special treat.  What makes a cupcake even sweeter is when you made it yourself!  Today, I’m sharing these sweet little spring themed cupcakes just in time for Easter!  They’re made with a boxed cake mix and ready made frosting, so they couldn’t be any easier to make!

With Easter just a week away,  (if you haven’t already) it’s time to finalize plans and get your shopping list together for your Easter festivities.

We got lucky this year and will be going to the in-laws new place for our get-together.

That means, no house cleaning for me, whoo-hoo!  All we have to do for the get-together is show up in our Easter finery with our baskets and a Crock Pot full of queso!

There’ll be lots of kids and I think I’ll have to make another batch of these little cupcakes to bring along with us and share.  (Big shout out to Pillsbury™ for collaborating with me and sponsoring this post!)

Do you remember my Key Lime Poke cake recipe from a few weeks back?  (Another great recipe that would be perfect for a potluck or Easter get-together.)  When I was shopping for that recipe, I  I found these cute little marshmallow chickens and candy flower cupcake decorations over with the baking supplies.

I’m so glad I added them to my cart- they made the perfect topper for our cupcakes.

I pretty much always use a box cake mix as the base for my cakes and cupcakes (it’s just so easy) and the Moist Supreme from Pillsbury™ is one of my favorites.

With just a few ingredients, frosting, sprinkles or other decorations and 30 minutes later- you can have a deliciously impressive treat.

We had our Spring Break this past week and one of our planned activities was to spend time in the kitchen baking yummy treats.  We had a lot of fun making these cupcakes, though I’m not sure who ate more frosting- the kids or their Dad!  (My lil Missy even took a few turns frosting the cupcakes and hers looked just as good as mine!)

If you want to try piping frosting grass, Wilton makes a specialty tip that’s perfect for grass (#233).  I don’t make enough cupcakes decorated like this to justify purchasing it, so I a star tip.  Check out the little video I made demonstrating how easy these cupcakes are to frost:

These cupcakes were almost too pretty to eat…  Just look at that little guy!

We made plenty of cupcakes and even hd enough to make a special Spring Break delivery to the neighbors!

Ready to bake up come Easter cupcakes of your own?  Walmart is a great place to stock up Pillsbury Cake Mix and Frosting.  I always try to keep a box or two on hand, so when the urge to bake something strikes, I have what I need.
