Who doesn’t love a sweet and salty combination?  This yummy Sweet & Salty Snack Mix I’m sharing with you today is super easy to toss together and is perfect for on-the-go snacking and Road Trips!

Sweet and Salty Snack Mix

There are so many reasons to love summer vacation.

My absolute favorite thing about summer vacation (other than sleeping in) is that with the kids out of school, we’re able to go on all sorts of last minute road trips and not worry about missing school or other organized activities.

What kid doesn’t’ love the anticipation of a road trip?  From quick trips to local landmarks, parks and other attractions to longer weekend destinations like the Beach or the Hill Country.  Our most recent favorite road trip destination has been my in-law’s new place on the Guadalupe River.  Their place has room for everyone and is only a 1.5 hour drive for our house.  (We just got back from a weekend full of tubing, fishing, kayaking and leisurely evenings around the fire pit with our all our cousins!)

My hubby has always liked to do the driving during our road trips.  Since he was happy driving, my favorite way to pass the time during these trips was sleeping!  Nowadays though, with kids along for the ride, sleeping is not usually possible.  With the frequent “are we there yet’s”, bickering over who’s created the best world in Minecraft (or when someone refuses to even look at the others awesome world) plus constant requests for bathroom stops, it’s a bit difficult to nap, lol.

My solution for a little peace and quiet on road trips?  Individual headphones and of course, snacks that will keep everyone happy!

One of our family’s favorite treats for a snack is FLIPZ®!  There’s just something about the combination of crunchy salty pretzels and chocolate that can’t be beat.  When making my list for road trip goodies’, stocking up on FLIPZ® is always at the top of the list.  (The FLIPZ® White Fudge Covered Pretzels was always my favorite flavor!)

I like that you’ve included popcorn in the mix! That way I can have my favorite snack within the mix! Cant wait to try it with the white Choc flips… because well, hello? Yum!
