Happy New Year everyone! I don’t know about you, but the start of a new year always gets me in the mood for a fresh start in all areas of my life! A new diet, a new exercise routine, and a clean and organized house.

One of the ways I’m working on getting organized is focusing on getting rid of the clutter around the house. When we moved last spring, we got rid of a lot of the stuff we had accumulated over the years, but after moving into our smaller rental home, I can see that we still have a way to go.

This week, it’s my mission to get the laundry room in ship shape.

Laundry Room Refresh

  • The first item on the agenda to help us get back into the weekly laundry routine is to give the laundry room a good declutter and cleaning!
  • I’ll be tossing anything that doesn’t belong, organizing the shelves, and getting stocked up on all my favorite laundry supplies.
  • I can’t paint the laundry room right now since we’re renting, but I can spiff it up by organizing the shelves and supplies with cute baskets and adding this colorful trio of Wash, Dry and Fold printable artwork to the blank wall.

Aren’t they cute?

I love these printables! Thank you so much for sharing them.

  2. We are working on getting rid of clutter today (weekend project). I love Tide. Never have to worry about clean and smelling good (clothes) when you use it. Great for stain removal too.

  3. Lydia @ Thrifty Frugal Mom says:

These printables are so darling! I love them! Such a great way to cheer up a laundry room for sure.

  4. Great routine!! I know we tend to do as we need to wash. The kids all do their own laundry so that is an insane big help.

  5. Those printables are adorable. The man who cleaned our septic said to try and limit to one load a day. This is not easy but I’m trying!

  6. This sounds like a great routine! I rent (no washer here) so my routine is basically taking clothes to the laundry and washing and folding there. Thanks for the coupon link — I like Tide too!

  7. Neely Moldovan says:

WE are all about laundry routines. I seriously cant let it pile up. Gives me anxiety

  8. We got each of our girls their own sorting hampers. Now all the laundry comes down pre-sorted!!!

  9. Melanie Brammer says:

Sadly I don’t have a routine for my laundry. I work Monday-Wednesday and am exhausted by the time I get home, so I tend to start tackling the laundry mountain on a Thursday morning, putting a fresh load in each day (as the previous one is finishing drying) through the weekend. I then do a mammoth ironing session on Sunday. It’s not ideal, and if we’re busy on the weekend it can stay mounted up all week, but it’s kind of where we’re at.

    1. That sounds like a fairly good routine to me. I refuse to iron unless it is a special occasion, so you’re actually one up on me
