I've been pulling out my Valentine's Day decorations and came across the supplies for a craft I had intended last year. (So typically me, I won't mention how often this happens...) I had picked up these little candles at Ikea on one of my last trips. They're just a couple dollars each and perfect for decorating.
Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I figured I would stick with the heart theme and add glitter hearts instead of one solid color.
To make these candles, you need:
- 2 colors of glitter
- Glue (I used Emer's school glue)
- foam brush
- painters tape
- optional spray acrylic sealer/lacquer
this kind- hubby had just used it on my son's Pinewood derby car and was still sitting out, but I think any type of clear-coat sealer would work.)
So very, very cute! Right now, I have the candles sitting on my window sill, but I'll move them over to the table for our traditional family Valentine's Day dinner.
