It’s starting to get hot around here and we’ve been making quite a few trips to the neighborhood pool. I’m so happy that my kids are of an age where they can play in the pool without me having to get in with them. (We’ve had some cooler than normal overnight temps and rain lately, which means the water is slightly cooler than I like) Just because I don’t have to get in the water with then, doesn’t mean I’m ignoring them. On the contrary, I am usually having to pay them multiple “visits” with behavioral “instructions.”
The secret to the perfect no sew sarong is in the fabric selection. The fabric needs to be a very lightweight and slightly sheer knit fabric. The fabric needs to be knit so the edges won’t fray and come apart after multiple uses.
My favorite way to reduce the bulk of the knot (and keep it more secure) is to use one of these little sarong/tie accessories. I bought mine many years ago while on vacation, but I found them on Amazon here.
