Haloween Themed Crafts
I can’t believe how quickly Halloween snuck up on me this year, it seems like September just flew by!
It’s sad to say, but my kiddos are growing up and I don’t know how much longer they’ll let me do all the fun Halloween stuff I love to do with them. So this year we are staying home for Halloween and are participating in all the local activities. (The last 2 years, we’ve gone camping at a favorite family campground that caters to kids and always had tons of Halloween-themed activities.)
I also volunteered to help with our neighborhood Halloween Block party. I’m in charge of the craft stations and have come up with three awesomely easy crafts to help keep the kids busy and entertained.
Save Money on all your Halloween Shopping with Ibotta
If you know me, (or if you’ve been reading along for a while,) you’ve probably read about my love of shopping. But even more than shopping, I especially love a good deal!
Lately, my favorite way to save money on all of my purchases is by shopping with the Ibotta app.
In case you’re not familiar, Ibotta is a cashback and rewards app that gives customers a better way to save time and money when they shop. You can receive cashback on purchases made both in-store AND online!
New shoppers can receive up to a $20 welcome bonus and the average active Ibotta shopper earns an extra $20 every month. You will also have the opportunity to earn extra cash through bonuses and special offers. Just keep your eye on the app as Ibotta has new offers each week.
Ibotta has so many partners to shop with (over 500,000 places where you can earn cashback!) Some of the big ones are Walmart, Overstock, Ulta, Amazon, Joann’s, Etsy, Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy, World Market, Bed Bath and Beyond, Macy’s etc… So many of my favorite places. (Search for your favorite here.)
3 Easy Ways to Earn Money with Ibotta:
- Upload the receipt. Browse the app and add the offers you are interested in the Ibotta app, shop and then upload your receipt. (FYI, Joann has 10% cash back right now.)
- Link a store loyalty card to your Ibotta app. Then browse the app, find and select the offers you want and shop. Use your store loyalty card as normal and Ibotta does the rest.
- Shop through the app. Browse the cash back offers through the app and select your retailer (like Macy’s, Groupon or Amazon) tap the shop button and shop like normal. (Some online retailers require you to select a category – like Amazon.) Once you make a qualifying purchase Ibotta will send you a confirmation. And YES! You can earn 3% Cash back on all your Halloween decor through the Amazon Home, Kitchen, and Garden category.
3 Simple Kid Crafts for your Halloween Party
1. Lollipop Ghosts:
All you need is some white squares of fabric (or even paper towels) googly eyes or stickers, (or a sharpie) Lollipops, plus cute some cute Halloween themed ribbon.
Wrap the white fabric square around the lollipop, secure with a piece of ribbon, add googly eyes and voilà, cute Lollipop Ghosts!
2. Pumpkin Decorating:
Keep the pumpkin decorating mostly mess free by using foam stickers! You can find all sorts of foam with a sticky back (full sheets, shapes, whatever you want.)
Just cut, peel and stick. Can’t get much easier than that! You can even have a contest for the best-decorated pumpkin.
3. Candy Corn Necklaces
Yum! Candy Corn… What’s more fun than a necklace you can eat? All you need for this little craft is a tapestry needle, (doesn’t have a sharp point) thread and of course lots and lots of Candy Corn. A few of the candy corns will break as you thread them, but that’s a good thing, more Candy Corn to eat!
