Easy Halloween Candy Holder and Display Made From a Carvable Pumpkin!

My hubby has a large office space and sub-leases a few of the empty offices to other small businesses.  (The location is so great, he’d rather do this than find a smaller space…)  Every October, everyone in the office gets together to co-host a Fall/Halloween themed open house. This year’s open house is in just a few more weeks and I’ve been busy finding all of the Halloween office decor.  Somewhere/somehow the big candy dish disappeared!  Annoying, but certainly not the worst thing that could disappear since the lack of a candy dish gives me an excuse to come up with something new!

This project is definitely as easy as it looks.  The most important thing is to make sure you get the right kind (and size) of faux pumpkin!

Make sure the label says “Carvable Pumpkin” and use the right tools!  I always thought the faux pumpkins were all the same until I tried to carve one from Michael’s last year.  (I managed it, but it was ridiculously hard since they were not intended to be carved!)

When carving the mouth, (which is where guests will reach in to get the candy) make sure the opening is wide enough for even the largest hand to reach in and pull out candy.

After your pumpkin is carved, you will want to fill it with the right candy.  Hershey’s has all sorts of seasonal favorites you’ll want to include in your celebration!

I think the Jolly Rancher Caramel Apple Lollipops from are my fave- omg, they smell so good!

Perfect candy display for the office, don’t you think?
