Print and assemble pattern.
Lengthen or shorten pattern if desired.
The back piece is cut on the fold. For the front piece, fold the fabric in half, to cut 2 pieces at once, but not on the fold. (This way you will have 2 separate pieces that are cut in opposite directions.)
Cut out pattern pieces, transferring the “stop sewing” mark on the side.
Step 2: Cover up assembly.
Fold neckline edge and hem with a narrow 1/4 inch seam allowance
Repeat for the sleeve edges.
Repeat for the inside cover up edge:
Line up the shoulders seams. Pin and sew together with a 1/4 inch seam allowance Finish this seam.
Line up the side seams and sew down to the “stop sewing” mark.
Fold the vent hem a scant 1/4 inch, press. Fold another scant 1/4 inch, press again and sew. Be sure to finish the side seams with your favorite seam finishing method.
Fold the bottom hem 1/4 inch, press, fold another 1/4 inch, press again and sew.
Add trip along the bottom if desired.
That’s it! You are done!
