Make a St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Cupcake T-shirt with this free Lucky Cupcake printable pdf file!
I picked up this green tee from the Children’s Place a few months ago with the intention to embroider my missy a shirt for St Patrick’s Day.
The Children’s Place is a great place to find blank tees for kids. The quality and fit is pretty good for the price. (They’re almost always having some sort of sale.)
I gifted myself an embroidery machine for Christmas and I’m still learning the ins and outs of how to use it. It definitely has some great capabilities, though one of the things I am excited to use it for is to do the quilting on smaller quilt projects.
I also broke down and picked up a copy of the Embrilliance Essentials and Alphatricks embroidery software to help with lining up and designing my own embroidery designs.
When I have the time, I’m looking forward to learning all about creating embroidery designs and then perhaps make some simple embroidery designs available for download over here on the blog.
In the case of this shamrock cupcake embroidery design, if you wanted to design something similar to embroider, the cupcake came from the emblibrary (found here) and I used the Tatty and Aloha font from DesignsbyJuju.
I can’t give this embroidery design away since there is no commercial license available for the cupcake, so you’ll have to purchase it yourself if you want it.
The good news is, I do have a fairly similar design that I CAN give you in pdf/png format with which you can create your own fabric transfer printable with!
Have you ever done a print your own transfer with transfer paper? I did this project with transfer paper and it turned out great.
Download the black letter pdf here and the white letter version (on a white background) png here.
Have fun and don’t forget to reverse the image when printing to do a transfer!
(See the stretchy headband tutorial here.
Brrr… It was a smidge chilly when we stepped out to take the pictures. Luckily we are scheduled to have nice warm weather on the 17th!
