Yes, I have a terrible habit of purchasing fabric that’s pretty or catches my eye in some way, but I don’t have a specific project mind for.  (Ok, sometimes I do have projects in mind, but life often gets in the way and they don’t get done or even worse, I forget what they were originally bought for!

We plan to move sometime this year and I need to cut down the size of my stash and make room.  I’ve got a nice size pile of knit fabric set aside and I thought about trying to sell the fabric, but selling it seemed like too much work so I thought I would just do a couple giveaways.  (There’s not a thing wrong with any of this fabric.  I purchased every bit of it, but either our tastes have changed, I don’t have enough fabric (most are 1-yard cuts) or I just don’t think I’ll ever use it.

What in the world will you make with all this knit fabric?  Luckily, I have an entire category dedicated to sewing with knits!  See all the projects, ideas and tutorials here: Sewing with Knits.

First up this lot of fun stripes, dots and one floral print:

  1. Lucinda Craig says:

I like sewing with knits. I usually make t-dresses but starting to explore other clothing items.

  2. I don’t do much on social media but have a six month old GRANDdaughter and I need good knits for her clothes. So…if you decide to sell any, I would love to buy a priority box stuffed with your destash treasures. I am making drool bibs almost daily, so I don’t even need large pieces (l0l). I just don’t have enough knowledge of fabrics to feel comfortable buying knits on line and don’t find many choices here in Abilene. I LOVE your blog…guess it is those Texas traits that draw me to yours.
