I’ve got another t-shirt made from my Flutter Sleeve T-Shirt Sewing Pattern to share with you today!
We’ve had quite a bit of rain lately and decided to get outside and take a few pictures in our creek. It’s flowing great right now, but with summer just around the corner and the meteorologists predicting a la nina weather pattern, I doubt it will be flowing much longer. It’s a perfect background to show of one of the t-shirts sewn from my latest pattern, the Flutter Sleeve T-shirt. (This free pattern is available for download here.)
Perfect t-shirt for summer! (Her shortalls are from Target and rain boots can be found here.)
The fabrics I used on this t-shirt are so soft and stretchy- perfect for tops. These two particular fabrics are leftovers from the Roller Skate Skirt I sewed last year and are now both sold out. But the flower pattern is part of the Kaufman Laguna knit collection and the stripe is from Funkalicious Fabrics. She has a few other colors available.
I finally unboxed the coverstitch machine I got for Christmas to sew the hems for this shirt. This machine (Janome CoverPro 1000cpx) sews like a dream. Before this one, I was using the Brother coverstitch. If you are in the market for a coverstitch machine, Do not waste your money on the Brother! (The Janome is less that $200 more and worth every penny.) The Brother was so finicky I could not even stand to use it- it added at least an hour to every project just trying to get it to sew properly.
If you end up sewing one of these tops, please be sure to come back and share a photo on my Facebook page or tag me on Instagram!
