Rainbow Bright Crocheted Infinity Scarf

crochet, giveaway, st. patrick's day

I took a Craftsy crochet class back in December and have been working on all sorts of projects lately.  (I talked a little about the class in this post.)  Well… Guess what?  I had an email from Craftsy asking if I wanted to host a giveaway for one of their crochet or knitting classes…  Of course I do!  If you would like to enter for a chance to win an online crochet or knitting class from Craftsy, all the details for the giveaway are at the bottom of the post.

This week is Spring Break for us and I’m happy to say, the kids have been fairly quiet in the mornings and have let me sleep in until at least 7:30.  We’ve also had nice weather up until today, when winter decided to come back and bring temps in the 50’s and 30 mph winds along for the ride.

Luckily, I finished my new scarf just in time for the cold weather!  I love how it turned out.  So soft and colorful for spring.  I had this yarn in my stash (impulse buy from Walmart.)  I bought it, thinking I would make something for my daughter since the colors are so bright.  We made a one day trip to Ft Worth last week and since I wasn’t driving, I needed a project for the car.  I  decided a new scarf for me was the perfect way to pass the time in the car…

I didn’t use a pattern for the scarf, I just stitched what felt right for a scarf.  (Which ended up being 25 double crochets for 126 rows.)  When I was done, I crocheted the ends together to make it an infinity scarf.  Here is the gauge info from the back of the yarn if you want to make a similar scarf:

Simple Double Crochet Infinity Scarf- super simple beginner project.

The colors are so yummy!  (So yummy, my brother nicknamed it the “Fruity Pebbles scarf”.  Thanks, brother…)
