I ended up hosting a last minute play date this week. We’ve had a lot going on and after mounds of laundry, cleaning house and all our other activities, I still had to make a sharable treat. I wanted to make cupcakes, but just didn’t have the energy to make them myself. (Nor did I want to mess up my clean kitchen, lol.)
So off to the store Hubby went for some bakery cupcakes.
The cupcakes he bought were frosted very prettily with yummy butter cream and topped with colorful sprinkles. Unfortunately the plain white, grease stained wrappers weren’t so pretty… So I took a few moments and whipped up these darling Red White and Blue Cupcake Wrappers.
Oh my… Those cupcakes went from drab to fab in five minutes flat! (I used the same digital paper pack as in my mini cake bunting. )
I went to the extra step of saving the cupcake wrappers as a PDF and adding them to Google Docs. You can access the free printable Red, White, and Blue Cupcake Wrappers here if you would like to use them, too.

Printing tip: Be sure to save the document to your PC before printing. Close Google Docs and open Adobe Reader. Turn off all document sizing and print from Adobe Reader. (If you try to print from Google Docs, the sizing might be off.)
To use the patriotic cupcake wrappers, print the pattern you want, cut them out, wrap around the cupcake and tape together. I also included a blank template for you to trace onto your own patterned paper for a custom wrapper.
I used standard printer paper and it worked just fine for what we needed!
