Sewing and Stenciling for Boys

Even though school has already started for us, I’m still working on a few things for my little guy.  I’ve gotten a few pairs of shorts and t-shirts done, but still have a couple more to to go.   I finished this little outfit up yesterday.  He tried it on and seemed to like it, but I couldn’t get him to pose for any pictures.  He must have been too worn out from the first day of school!

I ran out of 3/4 inch elastic, so I need to make a run to the store to finish up the last 2 pairs of shorts.  In the mean time, I picked up a few more blank tees’s from Old Navy during the tax free holiday and have a couple more freezer paper stencil shirts to do.

(I uploaded these stencil images for boys to Google Docs and included the links in case anyone else is interested in these images.)

Recycle Image
This one is going on a green shirt.  I am going to mix a hint of green and gold fabric paint into white for the stencil.  (I hope I can get the color to turn out like I am picturing it.)

Star Wars Logo
I am going to do the Star Wars Logo in metallic silver paint on a navy tee.

Punisher Skull
Will be in black paint on a white tee.  **Update**  I actually used this Punisher Scull Stencil for my son’s Halloween costume.  You can see the costume here.
Transformer Image
I used the transformer stencil here.

Gecko Image
(Same image as the picture at the top.)
Scary Spider Image
I will do this Scary Spider Stencil in white paint on a black tee and paint over it with the glow in the dark fabric paint.  The glow in the dark paint really works!  He picked out the fabric below from Joann’s for some Halloween shorts.  They will be perfect with the Spider shirt.

I will be linking this post up to several of the linky parties listed here.  You should check them out!

Those are great! I'm doing a couple stenciled shirts for my son, too. He would love the transformer one.
