Strawberry Chocolate Hazelnut Bites

Woo-hoo, we made it to Spring Break!

I don't know about you guys, but this was one rough winter...

We had a couple rough illnesses that we passed back and forth between all family members.  There were homework struggles, some not so great grades, multiple meetings with teachers, extra before and after school tutorial sessions, and on top of all that, we've had delay after delay on our new home building project.  You name it, we struggled with it.

Good news is, I think we've now turned the corner on grades and everyone is passing social studies!!!   Aanndd, only 9 months behind schedule, we finally broke ground on our new house (Fill is coming today)

Fortunately for us, the timing of Spring Break in Texas is almost always right on the mark.  We start the month cold, but by the time spring break rolls around, the weather always starts to warm up and it's perfect timing for celebrating the end of winter and beginning of Spring. (Plus it's just so great to have a 9-day break from waking up early and homework.)

We have a camping trip scheduled for Spring Break this year at a campsite near the Sam Houston National Forest. I specifically chose this campground because of their great heated pool and the fact we would be so close to Houston.  (I want to spend a day or two visiting the Museum District, the Zoo and maybe even NASA!)

Ritz Cracker appetizers

On my last trip to Kroger, I stocked up on all sorts of yummy pantry essentials for our camping trip. (Love Shopping at this Kroger - it's so clean and new, with the best produce. It even has an onsite coffee shop.  Use this handy store locator to find a Kroger near you.)  And now, to kick off our Spring Break, I'm waiting for the kids get home from school (they ride the bus) so we can celebrate our 1st night of Spring Break with the most amazing little snack made with RITZ Crackers, Marshmallow Crème, Hazelnut Spread and strawberries.

RITZ Crackers are THE BEST (and yummiest) cracker for serving up your favorite dip or hors d'oeuvre. It doesn't matter if your recipe is sweet or savory, a RITZ Cracker is the perfect match!  Plus, you can save now on your next purchase of RITZ Crackers.

I can't explain the science behind it, but somehow, the mixture of the buttery, salty flavor of the RITZ Cracker combined with the sweet marshmallow crème, chocolate hazelnut spread and strawberries is absolutely amazing! If you love a sweet and salty combination, this is a must try.

YOU HAVE TO TRY IT - and DO NOT leave out a single ingredient! (I thoroughly tested all possible combinations for you, lol.)  Something about the combination of these 4 ingredients is like a little bite of heaven!

You can find the RITZ Crackers Original and the RITZ Crackers Fresh Stacks at Kroger, along with many other RITZ Cracker varieties.

Description

These Chocolate Hazelnut Strawberry Bites are the perfect combination of Sweet and Salty.  They are super simple to make and each little cracker is a bite of sweet and salty chocolate hazelnut perfection!

Ingredients

  • RITZ Crackers
  • Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • Marshmallow Cream
  • Strawberries (room temp)

Instructions

  1. Line up your RITZ Crackers.
  2. Top with a layer of hazelnut spread, a layer of marshmallow cream and top with a cut strawberry. (cut side up)
  3. Enjoy!

Notes

Recipe tips:

  • Ripe strawberries at room temperature work best.
  • Place the cut strawberry face up (cut side up) onto the marshmallow cream. (Helps prevents the strawberry from sliding off the cracker.)

I know you said hazelnut spread, but I hope that’s Nutella! That’s the best in the world (I grew up on it in the 70’s!)
