Why You’ll Love This Christmas Sugar Cookie Fudge
Ingredients + Tips
(Ingredients at a glance; you can find the full recipe with ingredient amounts in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.)
- Sweetened condensed milk | Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is required to make the base of this fudge.
- White chocolate chips | White chocolate chips or white melting chocolate adds some sweetness to the fudge.
- Sugar cookie mix | Make sure to heat-treat the sugar cookie mix. See notes below.
- Butter | Salted or unsalted butter, melted.
- Christmas sprinkles | Pick up your favorite Christmas-themed sprinkles.
How To Make This Christmas Fudge Recipe
1 Prepare the baking dish. Prepare a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper. Spray it with nonstick spray and set aside.
2 Make the fudge. Add the sweetened condensed milk to a medium-sized pot. Heat over medium heat, stirring often. Once hot, stir in the white chocolate chips, sugar cookie mix, and butter. Stir until smooth, and then remove from heat.
3 Add in the sprinkles. Stir in a generous amount of sprinkles. If you don’t feel like you added enough, add more! You can never have too many sprinkles!
4 Pour into the pan. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and add even more sprinkles to the top.
5 Let the fudge set. Place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until set. Remove the pan from the fridge and slice it into bite-sized pieces. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Use good quality chocolate to ensure you get the best flavor of the fudge.
- Give the fudge ample time to set. It can be tempting to dig in immediately, but it needs a few hours to firm up.
- Don’t take your eyes off the pan when heating the condensed milk and melting the chocolate chips, as they can burn quickly.
Variations
- Change up the sprinkles depending on the season or holiday: orange and black for Halloween, pink and red for Valentine’s Day, or green for St. Patrick’s Day.
- Use a different type of chocolate chip; semi-sweet, dark chocolate, or milk chocolate will all work; you won’t have white fudge anymore, but it will still taste delicious.
- Add a few drops of peppermint flavoring for a peppermint cookie version.
- Add chopped nuts to the fudge mix, or top the fudge with mini marshmallows before it sets.
- Drizzle in some food coloring to add more color.
- Wrap a few pieces in colored wrapping paper and add a gift tag, making it a perfect edible gift for teachers, friends, or coworkers.
Storage
Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for about three days. After that, place the fudge in an airtight container in your fridge for up to 3 weeks.
To freeze: Wrap fudge in plastic wrap and place in an air-tight container. (I like to use my Foodsaver for this – if looking at other brands, make sure to get one with a “moist mode.”)
Fudge is best eaten within a year. Allow fudge to thaw for a few hours on the counter before serving.

(Should take about 2 minutes.)
