Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lime cut in to 6 wedges
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (plus extra for the cup rim if desired)
  • 1 oz vodka
  • ice (crushed ice works best)

Instructions

  1. Wash limes and cut into 6 wedges.
  2. Add lime slices to a tall glass and add sugar. Gently crush limes to release juice (press limes firmly enough to release juice but not the bitter oil from the peel).
  3. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add vodka and ice.
  4. If desired, prepare 2nd glass by dipping the rim in water and then sugar. Carefully pour the vodka-lime mixture into the sugared glass.

I am so glad that you enjoy caipiroska, a refreshing drink from my home country, Jamie!

  2. sounds good – I LOVE Caipirinhas (with fresh sugar cane) so this is a nice substitute if you don't have cachaca.
