5 Minute Scarf Tutorial

To make this simple scarf you need:
  • 3/8 of a yard of 60 inch wide fabric. (Possibly less- depends on how wide you want your scarf)
  • Scissors, ruler basic sewing supplies

Instructions:

Cut two pieces of fabric 6.5 inches tall by 60 inches wide.  (I pieces two pieces together to get the needed width on the upcycled scarf.)

Line up the strips right sides together and sew along the 2 long sides and one short side.

Trim the edges to 1/8 inch and flip the scarf right side out.  (I was tempted to leave the scarf with raw edges.  It looked kind of cool, but this fabric had 2 different sides and I wanted the other side facing out.  I did leave the edges raw on the grey scarf.)

Fold the raw ends of the scarf in and top stitch all the way around the scarf.

That is it, you’re done!

Now let your lil’ dude try the scarf on and be cool (and warm!)
