3 Ingredient Peach Yogurt Popsicles

Almost every summer we manage to get our hands on 1/2 or 1/4 bushel of our very favorite peaches from Fredericksburg Texas. We did make a trip to the Fredericksburg area to go camping this year, but it was too early for the peaches, and we came home empty-handed!

Which means we have to make do with regular ol’ grocery store peaches for our summer peach recipes. (oh, the horror!)

The kids have been begging me over the last few days to make them a sweet frozen treat. (My first experiment of watermelon lemonade pops using these awesome zip-top bags, was a dud – I blame the fact that I used sugar-free lemonade and did not add enough regular sugar to the watermelon puree, lol.)

I’ve had the idea of peaches and cream on my mind lately.  I didn’t have any cream on hand, but I did have full-fat vanilla yogurt, so I thought a semi-healthy peach yogurt pop would be the way to go.

And it was – these Peach Yogurt Pops turned out deliciously!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of your favorite vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large peaches, pits removed and cut into pieces
  • optional: up to 2 tbs sugar if your peaches are not very sweet

The popsicles could not be any easier to make.  The important thing to keep in mind is it is imperative to use a yogurt that you enjoy the taste of as the yogurt is a main component of the popsicles!

How to Make Peach Yogurt Popsicles

Directions:

  1. Place peaches in a food processor or blender and process until peaches are a chunky but fine consistency.  Taste, add optional sugar if necessary.
  2. Combine milk and yogurt in a small bowl.
  3. Spoon a few tablespoons of the yogurt mixture into the bottom of your popsicle molds.
  4. Add a tablespoon of the peaches over the yogurt layer.how to make peach yogurt popsicles
  5. Add another layer of yogurt over the peaches.
  6. Top with more peaches and another layer of yogurt.
  7. Close tray and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  8. For easy release from the tray, submerge the bottom of the popsicle mold in a container of warm water for a minute or two and the popsicles will slide right out.popsicle molds
  9. Store leftovers in the freezer.
