Happy 4th of July everyone!
I came across this adorable red, white and blue fabric at Hancock Fabric’s last week, so I grabbed a few yards. We were going to a party on the 4th, and I wanted to sew a coordinating brother/sister outfit for my little guys.
I am thrilled how her dress turned out! The pattern I used was New Look 6361, view A. Originally, I had planned on making the romper and shortening the pants to shorts, but since I hadn’t made them before, I wasn’t sure how the adjustments I wanted to make would turn out. So I went with the dress pattern. When I do make the romper, I am going to try to take a little of the volume out of the pants.
At the last minute, I decided to add a little piping to the top and bottom of the halter top. It made such a difference, really made the red fabric pop!
I love this dress pattern! It came together so quickly and looks adorable. I will definitely be making a few more.Don't miss any more posts! Follow along on Feedly, Bloglovin', your favorite feed reader, or signing up via email and have new posts delivered to your email box each week!
