Happy 4th of July everyone!
I came across this adorable red, white and blue fabric at Hancock Fabric’s last week, so I grabbed a few yards.
We were going to a party on the 4th, and I wanted to sew a coordinating brother/sister outfit for my little guys.
I am thrilled how her dress turned out! The pattern I used was New Look 6361, view A.
Originally, I had planned on making the romper and shortening the pants to shorts, but since I hadn’t made them before, I wasn’t sure how the adjustments I wanted to make would turn out.
So I went with the dress pattern.
When I do make the romper, I am going to try to take a little of the volume out of the pants.
At the last minute, I decided to add a little piping to the top and bottom of the halter top. I made my own piping, but you can just buy it online as well.
It made such a difference, really made the red fabric pop!
I love this dress pattern!
It came together so quickly and looks adorable. I will definitely be making a few more.
(They were totally the cutest kids at the party!)
Turned out very cute, Jamie! Great job!
Your kiddos look sweet. You have to dress them like this now while you can! Time flies too fast. I am new to your blog and am following it. I found you through Made By You Mondays. I would love a follow back if you have time.
How VERY cute!
Wow, looks great! I love how you included your boy…sadly my little guy gets left out sometimes when I make the girls dresses! Thanks for showing off!

They look great! I love them! It is hard to make coordinating brother sister outfits without making the boy outfit too girly!
