Happy 4th of July everyone!

I came across this adorable red, white and blue fabric at Hancock Fabric’s last week, so I grabbed a few yards.

We were going to a party on the 4th, and I wanted to sew a coordinating brother/sister outfit for my little guys.

I am thrilled how her dress turned out!  The pattern I used was New Look 6361, view A.

Originally, I had planned on making the romper and shortening the pants to shorts, but since I hadn’t made them before, I wasn’t sure how the adjustments I wanted to make would turn out.

So I went with the dress pattern.

When I do make the romper, I am going to try to take a little of the volume out of the pants.

At the last minute, I decided to add a little piping to the top and bottom of the halter top. I made my own piping, but you can just buy it online as well.

It made such a difference, really made the red fabric pop!

I love this dress pattern!

It came together so quickly and looks adorable.  I will definitely be making a few more.

(They were totally the cutest kids at the party!)

Your kiddos look sweet. You have to dress them like this now while you can! Time flies too fast. I am new to your blog and am following it. I found you through Made By You Mondays. I would love a follow back if you have time.
