Peach Mango Wine Slushie:

Call me crazy, but who says that kids are the only ones that like slushies? Adults around the world will jump for joy that now they can have their wine and slushie love all combined into one glorious recipe.

While we might spend our days being responsible and taking care of others, this wine slushie recipe will help you kick up your feet and relax. You deserve a treat, too! (and so do your taste buds!)

There’s just something delicious about mangos. I’ll eat ’em fresh, frozen, or straight from the store.  The mangoes and peaches complement each other perfectly in this wine slushie recipe. Seriously, this peach mango wine slushie is now in my top 5 favorite frozen drinks of all time.

My biggest tip for this peach wine slushie recipe? Choosing the right wine is important! Go for something you enjoy the taste of.  I’ve made this wine slushie recipe several times with various wines and enjoy it the most with my favorite Pink Moscato.  (I prefer a sweet wine over dry wines)

What is a wine slushie?

A wine slushie is just like it sounds. Frozen wine with a few other added ingredients to make a slushie taste and texture. And yes…in case you’re wondering, a wine slushie can absolutely give you a brain freeze. Be ready, lol.

In the recipe I’m sharing today, the slushie is basically wine and frozen fruit blended together.

How to make wine slushies in a blender

Evidently, you can purchase powdered or liquid wine slushie mixes at the store and online.  That seems crazy to me when a wine slushie recipe is so easy to make in the blender. The blender really does all the hard work for you!

Since you’re using frozen fruit to make the wine slushies in the blender, all you have to do is add in the fruit, wine and blend until you get the consistency that you want. (If you find that the slushie looks a little runny and not as thick as you were hoping, just add in some ice and blend again.)

A good blender makes all the difference in the world!  My brother and sister-in-law swear by their Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker, but I haven’t actually tried it out so I can’t recommend it for this. But I can recommend these blenders:

  1. My Blender: Vitamix 13-in-1 Variable-Speed 2 HP motor (This is an Amazon link, though I bought mine when it was the QVC deal of the day on 6 easy pays)
  2. Ninja  1100 watts
  3. Nutri Ninja (1000 watts- love this little blender, but you would have to cut the recipe in half to use it for this recipe.)

What kind of wine is best for a wine slushie?

Like I said earlier, this part is totally up to you! Just know that if you love a flavor of a certain wine, then you’re going to love that same flavor when you turn it into a slushie.

Lately, my fave has been this Pink Moscato I find at my local HEB.  (I think it’s an HEB-only product, so if you live in TX, you’re in luck. If you like pink Moscato, grab some on your next trip to the store.)  Otherwise, the Barefoot Pink Moscato is good too.

What fruit works best in a wine slushie?

Frozen fruit works best because it gives it that consistency that you’re going to want. Peaches, mangos, pineapples, and any type of frozen berries are all a great addition!

One tip for this slushie recipe is to just give it a taste after blending.  Sometimes the frozen fruit from the store is just not as sweet as it could be.  You might choose to add a teaspoon or two of sugar to the slushie.  Just pulse the blender for a few moments to mix in the sugar.

What wine will go with blackberries? I have some in my freezer! This sound sooooo good after mowing the lawn!

    1. Jamie Sanders says:

I would think any white wine would do. I am very partial to moscatos, especially the pink and I think that would be really yummy. This is one you might want to add a bit of sugar too as I’m thinking some blackberries aren’t that sweet. Another thought… Have you ever had Lambrusco? (It is a light sparkling red wine and the flavor ranges from sweet with a light fruity flavor to dry and floral.) Riunite makes a good one and that might pair wery well with blackberries.
Good luck and let me know how it turns out!
