For our family, hubby and I are recommitting to our healthy eating plan. We (he) got just a little slack over the holidays, which is ok, but January is definitely the time to get back on track. What that means for me is portion control, staying away from high carbohydrate items, remembering to take my vitamins and supplements, drinking plenty of water and maybe actually making it to the gym. (I’ve been 3 times already, whoo-hoo!)
I wanted to share one of my favorite treats with you today! These DIY Yogurt Bowls are fantastic for breakfast, snacks and even desserts. (I have a lot of fruit on hand right now, so the kids had these for dessert last night and again for breakfast this morning- they love just about any combination.)

When I want a sweet treat without having to pull out the blender, I love to make Yogurt Bowls. So easy to throw together and the add-in combinations are endless!
These 4 Yogurt Bowls are just a few of our favorites:
Vanilla Yogurt, Sliced Strawberries and crumbled graham crackers.
The Sunrise Special:
Vanilla Yogurt, Grapefruit sections and (or oranges if you prefer) chopped nuts with a drizzle of honey.
A handful of blueberries and a sprinkle of your favorite granola.
Peanut Butter Banana “Bread”:
Sliced Bananas, crumbled graham crackers and a drizzle of warm peanut butter.
More Yogurt Bowl Ideas:
Raspberries Chocolate: Fresh raspberries, mini chocolate chips and maybe even a small drizzle of chocolate sauce…
Apple Pie: Chopped apples, crumbled graham crackers a sprinkle of cinnamon and maybe a drizzle of honey or caramel sauce.
Mixed Berry: Chopped strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, sprinkled with a bit of sugar.
Tropical Delight: chopped pineapple, bananas and mango, topped with shredded coconut
Tip: If you don’t want to use graham crackers you add crunch with chia or flax seeds.
