easy strawberry lemonade recipe

We went strawberry picking a few weeks ago and brought home several pounds of the sweetest strawberries ever.

We’ve made Strawberry Smoothies, Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry Jam, Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream. If you can put strawberries in it – we’ve made it.

strawberry picking

One of the favorites of the week has been this Easy Strawberry Lemonade recipe.

The kids have been begging me to make it over and over..  It is so easy and yummy you should definitely make some right away!

Ingredients for the Strawberry Lemonade

  • Store-bought lemonade mix (we used Country time, but use whatever you like – even a homemade lemonade recipe)
  • Strawberries
  • Muddling tool (I used a pampered chef tart shaper – works great!)
  • Optional: (1/4th cup sugar if you like your lemonade extra sweet)
  • Optional garnishes: fresh lemon slices, extra strawberries, pinch of fresh mint

How to Make Shortcut Strawberry Lemonade:

  1. Mix up your Lemonade
  2. Pour about 1/2 cup of lemonade into a glass or small bowl. Add a hand full of strawberries and muddle the strawberries into the lemonade. If you like your lemonade extra sweet, muddle in a few tablespoons of granulated sugar along with the strawberries.
  3. When you have mashed the 1st handful of strawberries, pour the mixture back into the pitcher of lemonade.  Pour a little more lemonade into the cup/bowl and muddle another handful of strawberries.
  4. Repeat this step until all strawberries are muddled.
  5. Serve over ice, garnish as desired and enjoy!

Our local grocery store has strawberries on sale this week.  $.98 per pound.  I think I am going to stock up my freezer so we can drink strawberry lemonade all summer long!

*And, yes. This is absolutely delicious with a shot of vodka…:)

Mmm, that looks so good Jamie. I love how bright and red the lemonade is. I think everybody is craving strawberries right now, they keep popping up all around. 😀
