My hubby is a diehard UT football fan!
Me- I could go either way. What I like most about football is the family time and socializing that revolves around watching the game. This past Saturday afternoon, Hubby threw out the idea of inviting another family over to watch the UT game. He suggested this in front of the kids and they immediately got excited! (We enjoy socializing with this family since they have a boy and a girl almost the exact same age as ours.)
Unfortunately, he had this idea at 4:30 in the afternoon and the game started at 6:30. The house was a mess and I just wasn’t up for the mad dash that would be required to get to the store for food and get the house presentable- so I had to put the kibosh on that idea. 🙁 Of course, this led to a few tears and a significant amount of pouting and whining…
We still planned on watching the game and I told them I would make us some yummy snacks and we would have our own little party! Everyone agreed that sounded fun. (Actually, I think what pacified them more was that I wasn’t going to make them clean house, lol.)
Digging through the fridge and pantry for ingredients, I was able to come up with this yummy Peanut Butter and Yogurt Dip. I served the Peanut Butter dip with graham crackers and apple slices and it was very quickly devoured.
The best part of the dip is that it is made with only 3 ingredients (peanut butter, Silk Vanilla Dairy Free Yogurt and a touch of maple syrup for additional sweetness.)
Did you know Silk now has a Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative? What I like about the Silk Brand is that the “yogurt” is dairy free and has no carrageenan, casein or high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients, plus I like that Silk is part of the Non-GMO Project. (Find out where to purchase here.)
3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Dip
- 1 cup of Creamy Peanut Butter
- 8 to 10 oz of vanilla yogurt or 2 containers of the Silk Vanilla Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of Maple syrup (or honey if you prefer)
- Mix peanut butter, about 3/4 of the yogurt and a tablespoon of the honey or syrup together until smooth.
- Give the dip a taste, if you want the dip to be runnier, add more yogurt. Want it sweeter, add a bit more of the honey/syrup.
- Serve with fruit and crackers or cookies and enjoy!
