Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Ingredients + Notes

(Ingredients at a glance, you will find the full recipe with ingredient amounts in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.)

  • Cream Cheese | Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for the easiest blending. Room temperature cream cheese will result in the creamiest lump-free dip. You can use full or low-fat cream cheese, but I do not recommend the fat-free.
  • Powdered Sugar | This adds the little kick of sweetness that takes the recipe over the top.
  • Vanilla Extract | I always recommend that you use real vanilla extract, not imitation vanilla. There’s a difference in the flavor.
  • Lemon Juice | Lemon juice acts as a flavor enhancer to help bring out the flavor in the dip, it also helps cut the heaviness of the cream cheese and adds a clean fresh taste to the dip. You can use fresh or bottled for this recipe, but I always recommend fresh if you have it

FAQ’s

Can this fruit Dip recipe be doubled?

Yes, In fact, if making for a party, I do recommend doubling the recipe. You can even triple the recipe and serve it out in portions, too.

Can I Make This Dip Ahead Of Time?

Of course, this is a perfect dip to put together the day before. It will taste even better as the flavors will have had time to meld together. I do recommend pulling it from the fridge about 20 minutes before serving to allow the dip to soften and become more dip-able.

Why Is My Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Lumpy?

If you don’t let the fruit dip soften all the way or come to room temperature, there’s a high probability that it’s going to have lumps.

Can I leave out the Lemon Juice?

You can if you want but it really does add a great flavor. You can also use lime juice if you don’t have lemon juice on hand.

How long will the dip last in the fridge?

This cream cheese fruit dip will last 4 to 5 days in an air-tight container. I do not recommend freezing the leftovers as cream cheese isn’t good to freeze and unthaw in recipes. (This is a small batch so it definitely won’t be much leftover for long, lol.)
