We are 5 days into summer, and I’m ready for school to start!

Ha, ha… not really, but we had a long week adjusting to no school and it is time for me to get organized and come up with a schedule and stick to it.

I came across this cute little printable schedule the other day on Somewhat Simple.

Summer Schedule

It has inspired me to get to work on planning our schedule. I printed one out for each week, and have planned a “special” activity for each day.  I will pretty much follow her daily plan as it works for our schedule too.

  • Monday: will be for our craft projects.
  • Tuesday: a trip to the library.
  • Wednesday: baking something child-appropriate like cookies, pizzas, ice cream…
  • Thursday: math and handwriting lessons, special outings.
  • Friday: playdate and pool day.

I am also going to work on a more detailed daily schedule that I can hang on the wall to help us stay busy and on track.  Whenever we have too much “free play”, it always ends with someone crying.

We’ll work on this and see how it goes…

I spent some time browsing around the internet and lined up some inexpensive and easy crafts to do.  Here is the list I put together.

Easy Craft Ideas

Here are a few links for some great educational worksheet/printables:

We may take a road trip or two this summer.  Nothing has been planned yet, we are still just throwing ideas around.  I do hope to send the kids to grandma’s house for a week.  (If I’m lucky…)  I know she would appreciate it if I sent some activities along.

Anyway, this is what I have come up with so far.

Does anyone have any ideas or links to share? Would love to hear them!

That's awesome! mine are 2 and 3 but I think just having a little more of a schedule for our days would be easier!!!

Great job with the links too!!! Look forward to using them as they get older!

    Thanks!
